The Second statement of UAE'S 7 citizens

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Beneficent

Praise be to Allah and prayers and peace be upon the best of God's creations, our Prophet Muhammad, along with his family and righteous companions. And then:

We, Emirati advocates of reform who have been deprived of their nationalities, face now false charges and fabricated accusations, attributed to an official source in the General Department of Citizenship, Residency and Ports, accuses us of threatening the national security of our nation and engagement with suspicious regional and international organizations and figures, as well as alleging some of us are linked to organizations and associations enrolled on the UN lists of Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT). These false accusations against us are pure fabrications we redundantly heard from the corrupt security services agents and unfaithful prosecutors everywhere in the countries of tyranny and dictatorship which have been all thrown into the dustbin of history. There is no doubt that these accusations added more credibility to what we have mentioned in our previous statement regarding the unfairness of these charges which have been denounced by all legal and human rights institutions, international and regional organizations and the dignitaries at home and abroad in the last few days. This is because we are just advocates of reform belonging to the Association of Reform & Social Guidance in this beloved country, in addition to demanding reform of the legislative authority of the state's poor Advisory-Legislative body, which is not commensurate with the level of cultural, scientific and mental level of our compatriots and the historic march of our country nor suits the Arab and Gulf environments.

Regarding their linking of some of the signatories of this statement to suspicious organizations and associations on the UN lists of Combating the Financing of Terrorism, it appears they mean donations and grants provided by our blessed people to the people of Palestine, especially those submitted to the oppressed Palestinians besieged in Gaza. We and our people of the UAE are proud of this charitable work given to our people in Gaza. We are really proud of Gaza and its heroes, who opened a blank page in the Arab and Muslim record of dignity. May Allah reward them on behalf of the Arab and Islamic nation the best of HIS rewards.

In a statement also attributed to the same source, he said we were originally holding nationalities of other countries and that the competent authorities gave us the nationality by naturalization. This is a pure lie and mislead, because we are in our beloved country before the establishment of the Federation, and we held the passports of the emirates we affiliate to, although the nationality of our country was given to us at the beginning of the State of the Federation unjustly by means of naturalization. Many strenuous efforts done by the heads of our tribes to lift this injustice and finally ended successful and a modification was made to gain citizenship by the rule of law. The procedures of withdrawing nationalities were executed despite the written legal confirmation in the nationality column that we had gained nationality by rule of the law. We invite people of all tribes which gained citizenship in this way to stand with us and be standing with the fundamental right which has been acquired as to ward off any discord between our fellow citizens, after forty years of the Union. This unfair and illegal precedent will be a precedent which comes as a stumbling block in front of more than 50% of the nation's capita to nominate themselves in any coming legislative elections, claiming that we have gained citizenship in terms of naturalization rather than by the rule of law; despite this historical error has been corrected in the state registers. (Not to mention the personal details related to every one of the undersigned in this case).

The source said: (The 16th article of the Nationality Law No.  17 /1972 and the amended law states that the citizenship of a naturalized citizen should be withdrew "when he commits an action (or being engaged in it) that risks the integrity of state security). We believe this law should be amended and this text should be rescinded, because the text is too loose to give an authority to those whosoever want to drop the nationality of any citizen. We restate that our nationalities have been withdrawn at first; heedless to the legal registers which enroll us as citizen via rule of law (so, we weren't neutralized in the time our nationalities dropped). Secondly, we did never commit/engage in any work that dangers the integrity of state security; those are pure unevidenced charges.

we conclude restating that we trust in Allah first, then in the wisdom of His Royal Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and his fellow members of the Federal Supreme Council of the rulers of the Emirates, and the wisdom of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister, to stop this injustice and repeal this aggression against the Emirati citizens.

God save our country, our people and our society from all evils, and provide us with sustainable security, safety, stability, intimacy, love and brotherhood in Allah, and make our country high in the skies in protecting the rights and raising the white flag of right in the world.

May Allah bless our Prophet Muhammad, his Family and Companions
